TiVo Delivers Fall Sneak Peeks From All Major Networks for First Time Ever

ALVISO, Calif., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TiVo (Nasdaq: TIVO),
the creator of and a leader in television services for digital video recorders
(DVR), said today the TiVo Fall TV Festival Showcase that it will deliver this
week to subscribers will mark the first time all major networks have partnered
with the DVR pioneer to bring sneak peaks and previews of the new fall lineup
to it's subscribers.
"Our first-ever TiVo Fall TV Festival is the first of its kind one-stop
shop that will allow TiVo subscribers to get a sneak peek of the best of the
fall TV lineup from every major television network," said Brodie Keast,
executive vice president and general manager of TiVo's consumer division.

bring this unprecedented program to our subscribers."
And subscribers can easily schedule their TiVo(R) DVRs to record all the
new shows they discover in this first of its kind showcase. Each week, the
Season Pass(TM) feature of the TiVo service will record each of these new
programs and more. Subscribers can watch the shows whenever they choose.
TiVo was founded with a mission of helping TV fans easily and quickly find
and record the shows they love. With TiVo's WishList(R) searches, subscribers
can tell the TiVo service the name of their favorite actor, director, place or
even sports team. The TiVo service will automatically find and record the
programs that match each subscriber's interest.
TiVo subscribers can also visit tivo.com to browse through TV editorial,
including Daily Picks and subscriber recommendations, to discover new upcoming
content. Through TiVo's exclusive online scheduling feature, TiVo subscribers
can schedule recordings directly from the web to their TiVo box.
The Fall TV season has been a busy time for TiVo. In addition to
providing exclusive content to subscribers and introducing a new low price of
$49.99 after rebate for its digital video recorders, TiVo has also launched a
search for the ultimate TiVo Ambassador(TM), the TiVo subscriber most
passionate about the TiVo service. After proving his/her love for the TiVo
service, the winner will receive more than $50,000 in prizes and the
opportunity to spread the word in a brand new mini Cooper.
The TiVo Fall TV Festival, segments of which were first aired on September
1st, is available to all TiVo subscribers with TiVo Series1 and Series2(TM)
DVRs.
TiVo Series2 DVR offers all the features that have made TiVo famous,
including exclusive online scheduling capabilities, enabling subscribers to
schedule the recording of a show from anywhere they have Internet access;
Season Pass(TM) feature, which enables subscribers to automatically record an
entire season of a favorite show, and WishList(R) searches, which helps
subscribers find and record programs based on their favorite actors,
directors, places or activities. The TiVo Series2 DVR can also be connected to
a home network so you can share shows on any TiVo located throughout the house
and in the future download content via broadband.
The $150 mail-in rebate is available on all TiVo DVRs (excluding DirecTV
DVRs with TiVo) purchased between now and November 27, 2005, with TiVo service

To be eligible for the TiVo Ambassador Contest, candidates must be
participants in the TiVo Rewards(TM) program and have earned 25,000 points
prior to the contest start date of November 27, 2005. In addition, candidates
must submit a creative video that shows they have what it takes to be the TiVo
Ambassador, write a short essay extolling the personal attributes they possess
that make them a good candidate, as well as provide a short testimonial from a
friend recommending them for the position. All of these materials and the
official entry form must be sent to TiVo, postmarked no later than December
